Jakub Kastl is a Professor of Economics at Princeton University, Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research and Research Fellow at the Center for Economic Policy Research. He is a recipient of the Sloan Fellowship and was awarded several grants by the National Science Foundation, including the CAREER grant. He currently serves as a co-editor of Econometrica.

He has worked with the European Central Bank, the Bank of Canada, or the US Department of Treasury. He was involved in the design and performance evaluation of various auction markets ranging from treasury bill auctions to spectrum auctions.

Prof. Kastl’s areas of specialization include industrial organization, econometrics, finance and market design.  His recent work studies financial markets and platforms. Jakub received his Ph.D. and M.A. degrees in Economics from Northwestern University, and his B.A. from Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic.
