Thanks to seed funding from generous donors, the CERGE-EI Foundation has so far offered every DLP course free of charge to students and partner institutions, including stipends for local instructors. The program has grown steadily, and demand now regularly exceeds what our current funding can support. To meet that demand and secure the program's future, DLP will introduce a structured grant model from Spring 2027. The Foundation will continue to cover a significant share of costs and is actively seeking additional donations to sustain and expand the program, but to grow, we need our partners' help.
Each course costs about $4,000 per institution per semester ($3,000 for delivery and an average of $950 for the Local Instructor stipend). The new model offers four partnership tiers, from a Full Grant covering all costs to Self-Funded, where the institution covers costs directly and the Foundation provides course design and teaching support.
We look forward to working with each of our partners to find the tier that fits best, so that together we can bring DLP to even more students in the years ahead.
